Jesus Changes Everything
There is no better decision
Giving your life to Jesus changes everything. Jesus came to restore our relationship to God. No matter our past mistakes or present fears, Jesus fully loves and accepts us where we are at. God’s greatest desire to have a relationship with you. Jesus can give you a new life in him. All you have to do is put your faith in him.
The Bible says this in Romans, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
Following Jesus means acknowledging our lack without him, confessing our sin (anything that keeps us from God) and asking for his forgiveness. He is faithful to forgive and looks at us without any judgement from then on. Our new life in him looks like trying to live like Jesus did. We like to call it apprenticing to Jesus. Doing the things Jesus did to become like Jesus.
You simply say a prayer from your heart. Something like this: Jesus, I need you. I ask you to forgive me of all my sin and mistakes. Thank you for your death on the cross and making a way for me to have a relationship with you. I believe you are the son of God and ask you to lead my life from now on. Amen.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” - John 3:16
Who is Jesus?
Jesus is God and Human
Jesus is God made flesh - “Emmanuel” God with us. He was in heaven with God before he came to earth (see John 17:5). Then he walked this earth just like we do (see John 1:1, 5:17-18, Phil 2:5-11). He was born a virgin birth through the power of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:20). Even though he was fully human, he is fully God and there is no imperfection in him.
Jesus is the Savior of the World
The bad news is we are all sinners. We have all messed up and sinned against God. Jesus came to make that right! He is the perfect one that was sacrificed on the cross to take all our sins and mistakes on him. He paid the penalty so we didn’t have to -his death made us right before God. We don’t deserve it, we can’t earn it, but it is what it is. A free gift of grace that gives us freedom to have relationship with God. (Isaiah 53:5, Titus 2:14, Isaiah 55:7, Hebrews 7:25, Isaiah 1:18)
Jesus is the baptizer with the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and that Jesus is essential to the spiritual life of all believers. (see Luke 3:16) We believe that baptism with the Holy Spirit empowers believers, and that the Holy Spirit’s incoming follows the same pattern that is described in the New Testament (Acts 2:4). We believe it is the will of God that we daily walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. This is the power of God to change lives.
Jesus is the Alive and at the right hand of the Father
After Jesus died on the cross, he rose from the grave on the third day. After meeting with his disciples, he rose up into heaven and is now seated back next to God where he was before coming down to earth. He hears our prayers from there. (Romans 8:34)
Jesus is the Soon and Coming King
Jesus is coming back for his people. The Bible teaches us that Jesus will come back to Earth to restore all things to God’s perfect plan. (I Thes 3:12-13) There will be no more death, pain, or sorrow. We will live in harmony with each other, with creation, and with God. We believe Jesus will come again and we will spend eternity with him.
Romans 5:8
