What We Believe
We affirm the Bible as the inspired and authoritative Word of God; it is the foundation for our decisions and direction for how we live our lives.
We believe in the Triune God: God the Father, Jesus the Son, and Holy Spirit, the real and present presence of God that is with us.
We believe in the current working of the Holy Spirit, in the spiritual gifts given to us his people, and the outward expression of those gifts through healings and miracles.
We believe as citizens of God’s kingdom we are called to love God and love others and bring glory to God through our actions and words.
Our Purpose
Here at Father’s House, we know we’re better together! We are a community of believers that seek God together; teaching, encouraging, and supporting one another along life’s path. We love people and love God and we live to glorify Him.
Our Values
Jesus is our reason.
Because of Jesus’ ultimate gift of his life on the cross to reconcile us to God and pay for our sin, Jesus is the reason any of us are here. We live and move and have our being because of Him. Everything leads back to Jesus.
Worship and prayer is our practice.
We love to worship God through music and song; He alone deserves our praise and we seek to glorify Him in all we do. We believe in the power of prayer. It is our primary way of communicating with God, both corporately and as individuals. When we gather and pray for one another and our community, we know that God will move to accomplish his purposes.
People are our purpose.
We value people over programs. We appreciate the reflection of God in all people; it is therefore our blessing to be able to love and walk with others. Our purpose is to love our neighbor, by doing so, we love Christ.
We have been blessed to be a blessing. Whether we are in times of prosperity or poverty, generosity is a state of our hearts. We are privileged to bless others with our time, skills, and resources, to give back to God, who gives us all we have.
We are better together. Our church family is vital to our spiritual, emotional, and social well-being. We prioritize gathering together and creating a welcoming and safe environment where all who enter our doors can find Jesus and grow closer to him.
Helping is our mission.
Jesus is a helper. His teachings and miracles are always to benefit people. We want to be like Jesus and be known as a church that helps the community by meeting practical and spiritual needs in our neighborhoods and around the globe. We want to influence our cities and the nations with God’s love.
Faith was never meant to be an individual practice. We are meant to be in relationship with God and others, learning from one another, sharpening one another, and encouraging one another. We want to live life together. We encourage our people to participate in small groups or other deep communities. To be accountable with one another, sharing our burdens, confessing our sins, and celebrating our victories. Life is better when we’re together and we need each other to grow and thrive
