Let’s Honor Tom & Susan!

Dear Church Family,

We wanted to let you know that on Sunday, September 10 at 10:00 am we will be honoring Pastor Tom & Susan as they retire from their faithful 43 years of service to Father’s House! This will be their last Sunday with us for at least a month.

We would love to have you join us on Sunday the 10th as we honor Tom and Susan. Our Foursquare District Supervisor, Dennis Easter will be here with us to say a few words honoring them. Pastor Tom will be sharing with us this Sunday, so you definitely will not want to miss this service! After church we are going to have our Second Sunday potluck lunch, where we will be providing some delicious Mexican food and Tri-tip. Our good friend Angela will be here with her Paradise Shaved Ice trailer as well – so bring your dollars to cool off with some snow cones. Please bring a salad or dessert to share at the potluck and stay and have some fun celebrating the years of service our pastors have poured into our church family.

As Tom and Susan retire we really want to bless them for all the years that they have served us at Father’s House. We really believe the words Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 5:17 “The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching”. As we have done for other pastors that have left our church over the years, we will be continuing their salary for three months. In addition to this we would like to be able to give Tom and Susan a gift on Sunday the 10th, and really live out “double honor” towards them. We are asking that you pray about donating to Tom and Susan and if you would like to give towards this, you can put a note on the giving envelope that it is for them in the offering.  If you would like to give online towards a gift, you can do so at http://fathershouseafc.com/giving/ and under the amount enter “Tom & Susan” in the special instructions section. We would love to have you email us some ways that Pastor Tom and Susan have made an impact in your life, that we could compile and present to them.
